Go away, March! Come on, Spring! Another long, cold winter has mostly passed - a new race season is bursting to begin. Most teams are just now completing preparations, and their cars are ready to roll.

Each season begins with promise and great expectations. Some teams have been able to find huge increases in horsepower, while others have happened upon an amazing new setup which is sure to guarantee tremendous lap times. Many have found new sponsors which require new paint jobs, while others have added or subtracted teammates. All of this NEW is so exciting! So many hopes and dreams. So many high expectations! So many teams chomping at the bit to "go racin" for another year!

Unfortunately, excitement levels and paint jobs don't guarantee a championship or even a win. The best of intentions and the best of equipment are only factors in a race. There are also crashes, penalties, weather and start positions to consider. And a race crew will be the first to admit that you can do everything 'right' and still be wiped out at the end of the night.

LIFE like RACING provides many opportunities, challenges, blow ups, crashes, and break downs. It's a pretty uncertain world out there. Yet you can hold on to one thing that's absolutely for certain: There is a God who loves you (John 3:16) and wants the dead level best for your life (Jer. 29:11). Are you feeling a little out of control lately? Wish your life was anchored to a firm foundation? Need to feel like something is absolutely for sure and will never change? Let today be the day you give your life to Christ. Invite Him in to change your heart and use you for His Glory. He's the only SURE way to WIN in this race called life!
